Bookings

Appointments can be made directly with our reception staff on 08 6186 3244 or via the Healthengine online appointment system.

Please book appointments for health assessments, care plans, or procedures so that the nurse is aware of your appointment type and makes the necessary arrangements.

We prefer patients to book appointments, however, we may be able to assist with “walk-in” appointments. Please be aware that there may be waiting times and delays in seeing our GPs due to complex issues requiring more time.

Prescriptions & Referrals

If you wish to obtain a repeat prescription, you need to book an appointment with your doctor. The physicians at Primo Medical Clinic have a legal obligation to review your medical condition before writing a prescription, to make sure you’re taking the best combination of medications and reduce the risk of complications.

If you have lost a copy of your prescription, or have seen your doctor in the last week and need to secure a repeat script, then call reception and a request will be sent to the doctor who will determine the appropriate action.

An appointment with the doctor is also necessary for a referral. This allows the doctor to ensure your most recent health information is sent to your specialist and is also a legal obligation under Medicare rules.

Care Plans & Health Assessments

Care plans and health assessments are available for patients with chronic conditions.

A care plan enables you to get Medicare rebates on up to 5 allied health services per calendar year and can be reviewed every 3 months.

We recommend health assessments for patients over 75 years old, people with intellectual disabilities, and people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander origin.

MONDAY TO FRIDAY:
8:30AM to 12:30AM

All test results are automatically processed and sent to your GP electronically to be securely stored in your patient file and monitored over time.

To obtain your results, it is necessary to visit your doctor as we are unable to give report results over the phone. Most results can take a few days, but some may take a few weeks depending on the complexity of the test and variable laboratory demands.
